Organization’s performance is among the top priorities in any management. You may notice many organizations do have their performance management system implemented, but whether it has been implemented formally or informally towards their employees will mark a major difference. However, some performance appraisals have become more disappointing than a good practice to improve performance to many employees.
This One Day course is designed to develop the skills and understanding of the Performance Management System (PMS) process. And it allows the managers, heads, or employers to assess and ensure that the employee is carrying out their duties which they are assigned to do in an effective and satisfactory level, which is contributing to the overall organization objectives.

- Assess performance strengths and weaknesses
- Conduct a structured and participative appraisal session, and apply this flexi-, part-time or full-time staff

- Introduction to PMS: what is it?
- Overview: Performance Management Plan, Performance Appraisal (PA) or Assessment, and Employee Development
- Key Performance Indicators (KPI): what is it, how to set it properly
- Linkage of KPI and PA
- Typical mistakes of evaluators
- How to appraise flexi-staff? (part time, flexi-hour, telecommuting etc…)
- Feedback skills, Counseling, Coaching, Active Listening and difficult situations
Afternoon Session
- Assessing target areas for improvement
- Structuring the appraisal session
- Conducive setting to encourage discussion
- Agreeing on development plan
- Managing poor performance
- How to handle difficult situations
- PMS and the re-employment process
