INCOTERMS, the most vitally important of all abbreviations in international trade written by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) – are an essential element of international transactions. Incoterms rules have been a boon to international trade in goods by simplifying and clarifying whether the buyer or seller carries the risk of loss or damage to goods, when the risk passes and who will pay for the carriage and insurance of goods as well as customs clearance.
